Environment education

Environment education is a process of recognising values and classify concepts to develop skills,understanding,knowledge & appreciate the relationship of men and his bio-physical surroundings.Environment education teaches us about the surrounding conditions around us & creates awareness to keep the surrounding ,environment clean and healthy i.e. suitable for survival of living organisms without any disturbances.Environment education helps to know the problems regarding it and suggest the measures to improve and keep the environment in balanced condition.Environment education makes us aware about the consequences resuting from the interaction of man with natural and man made environment.It also helps to change attitude ,behaviours towards the responsible environment protection and conversation.

Scope of environment

Environment include several aspects & components.Among them some aspects are physical, social,,and cultural aspects,which are prominent ones.


Biological aspects:Biological aspects is one of the most important aspect of environment.himan beings,animals,birds,insects,micro organisms,plants etc are some examples of it.

Physical aspect:Physical aspect can be divided into natural physical aspect & human physical aspects.Air,water,climate,geographical features etc comes under natural physical aspect & similarly man made things,objects comes under human physical aspects.roads,bridge,houses,buildings,machines are human made things.

Socio-cultural aspect:This is regard with all the things needed for development & social,cultural things.Within it human made socially and culturally important objects comes.Our social rules ,laws,customs,historical monuments,temples,monasteries,inns,comes under cultural aspect.While socio deals with progressive matters such as bridge, temple,machines,buildings etc.

Environment is a wide term.Living organism fulfill their requirement with various components of environment.e.g air,water,soil, mountain,minerals, fuels etc. are the components of environment.

Air: The air is an important source for all creatures.It has sustained the existence of the creatures. The air makes the change in climate and season.

Water: Water is indespensible for every creatures.Water is used fordrinking, cooking,bathing,generating electricty,for fisheries,irrigation purpose etc.Water is required for the production of foodgrains as well.

Soil:Land is an important resource found in environment.Man gets food grains, firewood,timber,grass,medicinal herbs etc.from land.Land is used for settlements by living organisms.

Forest:Vegetion plays a vital role in maintaining the climate. Forest helps to maintain good atmosphere .It provide different resources as well as it suply healthy oxygen to the atmosphere.

Introduction of Environment

The term 'environment'means surroundings which include physical,chemical,biological,cultural and social conditions of nature.Environment can be defined as all external conditions or infuences under which an organism lives or developes.Survival,reproduction,growth,and development of an organism are determined by the environment.The living organisms, e.g. plant,animals including human beings,and non-living organisms are found on the earth or on the environment of the earth.None of the living organism can survive alone.The living organism depend on each other and as a whole the living organism depend upon the environment to survive.
